Soderbergh tests his creative boundaries through this innovative ghostly tale captured wholly from the perspective of the phantom. After a clan including mother Rebekah and her distressed teen Chloe occupies their new suburban house, the filming device – as the unseen entity – tracks their movements. This Creepy Thriller
Derrickson's claustrophobic thriller holds up well without requiring a follow-up. Taking place in 1970s Colorado, multiple kidnappings has made the children anxious. The Eyes of Tammy Faye
In the conflict between God and Mammon, it's a knockout win for Mammon in Michael Showalter's delightfully tacky biopic about the fallen religious broadcaster plus her lawbreaking partner. The actor acts as the greedy Jim, who proclaims at the beginning, “God does not want us to be poor,”. Both individuals begin capitalizing on the American public's Christian beliefs. It's a riot of bad interior design, overdone appearance and insincerity, yet Chastain achieves to depict the real-life figure as a sympathetic figure. Next Tuesday, 1.15am, on Film4
