Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
